We provide pupils with an excellent, inclusive computing education that gives them the skills and knowledge they need, along with the creativity to understand an ever‑changing technological world.
We take online safety incredibly seriously. Our work equips all pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe online, while supporting them to navigate the digital world with confidence. We are committed to ensuring that every child can access our curriculum and participate fully, regardless of their starting point or individual needs.
Implementation
Our computing curriculum develops pupils’ knowledge, understanding and application of computer skills. We cover a breadth of skills and topics through digital literacy, information technology and computer science, enabling pupils to explore key strategies and methods.
Through the use of a range of accessible gadgets, applications and online resources, we ensure that all pupils, whatever their needs or abilities, can engage meaningfully with computing. Lessons are designed to build on previous knowledge while providing the support, adaptations and challenge needed for every child to thrive. Pupils learn how to use the internet and technology safely, responsibly and confidently.
Impact
Our pupils build a broad and secure understanding of computing and online safety, leaving us as competent, confident and safe IT users. They are able to interact successfully with the world around them and draw upon the many benefits technology brings to everyday life.
