Our Story

Welcome to Pineham Barns.

Founded on the principles of Fun, Creativity and Achievement, Pineham Barns champions creative and innovative learning opportunities, ensuring that each child is recognised as a unique child with individual needs.

Our school is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with views overlooking the lake; our unique location is explored and used to enhance our curriculum. The importance of the outdoors is reflected innovatively and creatively throughout the school making Pineham Barns a very special place to learn.  Through our engaging environment, innovative curriculum and unique teaching styles, we encourage our children to become happy, confident, inquisitive and lifelong learners. We work in close partnership with families to ensure that each child is recognised as unique and given the opportunity to flourish. Through these foundations, and by supporting each child to achieve their full potential, our children achieve exceptionally well and well above national with some outcomes in the top 1% of the UK.

We are proud of our academic success, but we are passionate in ensuring that our children are going to make a positive contribution to the wider world in the future, as Difference Makers. Through our rich curriculum and exceptional opportunities, we are empowering our children with the skills and knowledge to be empathetic and aspirational individuals, who aren’t afraid to challenge perceptions and actively celebrate diversity.

  • Recognising each child as a unique child with individual needs, our curriculum is adapted by highly skilled professionals to meet the needs of all learners, so every child reaches their full potential. We commit to providing the very best teaching and learning experiences, inspiring and challenging pupils to demonstrate exceptional outcomes.
  • We celebrate individual achievements to nurture and build self-belief in all children. Through rich and varied opportunities in dance, sport, drama and music, all pupils have the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop enriching aspirations for the future.
  • The British Values Curriculum is interwoven into every element of life at our school. Our core values of Respect & Tolerance, Cooperation, Kindness, Aspiration, Determination & Responsibility are upheld, celebrated and promoted by all stakeholders. Our strong community partnerships are important and help ensure every child has a mutual respect and tolerance of the many different faiths and beliefs within our society. We are committed to providing pupils with experiences and understanding, to ensure they make a positive contribution to life in Modern Britain and are ultimately aspiring to be the Difference Makers of the Future.
  • Staff are committed to providing a safe, stimulating and positive learning environment, in which all pupils can flourish, and develop as individuals. We have the highest possible regard for safeguarding procedures and actively seek ways to improve provision at our school, so it consistently demonstrates the very best practice.
